Ingredients:
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups marinara sauce
Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
1 box (12 ounces) jumbo pasta shells
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
☆Instructions:
Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
Cook pasta shells: Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
Prepare cheese mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Fill pasta shells: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture into each cooked pasta shell, filling them evenly. Place the filled shells in the prepared baking dish.
Add marinara sauce: Pour the marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, covering them evenly.
Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Final bake: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Garnish and serve: Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired, before serving.
Serve: Serve hot and enjoy your delicious stuffed cheese shells!
